Management Team

Robert Laryea - Managing Partner

Robert is responsible for leading our overall organization and focuses on advising our clients on structuring finance operations for effectiveness and business advisory services for SMEs, corporate and government institutions in Middle East & Africa.

Robert has worked extensively across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region in Senior Finance executive positions in local and global multinational corporates with a specialization in Finance transformation, Investments, Treasury, Corporate Turnaround and business restructuring and also had previous consulting background with PwC and KPMG.

During his career, Robert has, consistently across several organizations, championed finance technology driven projects, led successfully business transformation initiatives, including establishing finance and operations shared servicing models across EMEA and spearheaded corporate-wide technology adoption into core operations as well as other strategic and business initiatives.

Robert holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School, is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA UK) and holds an MBA in Financial Management from University of Wales and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana.

Sheikha Al Mheiri - Partner

Sheikha is responsible for providing specialized advisory services for our clients in the government, semi-government and family business sectors providing a strong bridge and leveraging opportunities with our private business clients. Her extensive experience and network in liaising with government agencies provide our clients with the requisite insights and guidance in navigating the regulatory, political as well as economic dimensions of business ecosystem.

She also leads our family business, hospitality and retail industry advisory division providing our clients with valuable insights in establishing governance structures and wealth preservation models drawing on her own tangible historic experience in leading family businesses and successfully establishing and expanding multiple businesses in that industry domain.

Also in addition she heads our entrepreneurship and innovation platform engaging and mentoring startups, SME’s and young business talents ensuring they are equipped with core business and financial skills to succeed both in the workplace and also in business.

Sheikha holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School, a diploma in Policy Design and Delivery from Harvard Kennedy School as well as a Bachelor’s degree from American University of Sharjah.

Shev Manek – Director Strategy, Planning and Analysis

Shev is responsible for providing end-to-end professional services pertaining to Strategy, Business Planning and Analysis for our clients. Shev integrates with our clients as an active business partner to help provide analytical insight and visibility on their business to accentuate value, through development and implementation of sophisticated and dynamic interactive tooling, a KPI driven and analytical culture of accountability, and forecasting, sales and operational excellence. Shev provides extensive experience in improving business planning, management reporting and businesses processes, to help formulate strategies and align plans to drive this and provides professional interim management services to become an integral interim resource for clients.

Shev has a proven and reputable pedigree in Senior Commercial FP&A leadership and Strategy roles. He has over 24 years of experience working in a plethora of industries and blue chip multinationals (including Cable and Wireless, Pitney Bowes, Goodyear, Johnson Controls and BrandSafway). He has worked at home in the UK and 14 years in the UAE, in regional roles extending to countries in Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. He has also provided professional services to recognized retail companies.

Shev is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accountancy from Loughborough University (United Kingdom).

Martin Duben – Director – Business Intelligence & Transformation Solutions

Martin heads our business intelligence and transformation solutions unit and specializes in recommending top in class finance and business technology transformation initiatives for our clients with a key focus on BI, Big Data, Workflow Automation via RPA, AI and OCR.

He also oversees client relationship and engagement from the U.K and Central and Eastern Europe providing outsourced financial and business Controller services for key clients in Ecommerce, Financial Services, Utilities and F&B.

Martin has worked extensively in Middle East and Africa where he was Finance Director and championed key automation and transformation and technology projects leading to significant improvement and transparency in reporting and analysis with MetLife in the region. He also has held key finance management roles in Central and Eastern Europe with other MNCs and also worked with PwC in the management advisory and audit departments.

Martin is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA UK) and holds an MSc in Business Administration degree from Comenius University in Slovakia and has a Black Belt Certification from PwC, Amsterdam.

Emmanuel Akrong – Director – Financial Services & Research

Emmanuel, oversees our financial services advisory unit and advises our clients on maintenance developing efficient capital structure, credit risk management, due diligence, M&A activity and portfolio investments.

In addition, Emmanuel also oversees our research division providing dynamic insights into industries combining proven theoretical models into complex business operations and specializes in generating publications to help our clients assess the impact of economic environments and prevailing regulatory guidance to refine their business approach and embed business, models and integrate into their core business activities.

Emmanuel has worked in senior finance executive roles in financial institutions in Canada and also held key managerial consulting roles with PwC in the US, Canada and Ghana. He has considerable experience in the financial services sector covering aircraft leasing, commercial banking, retail banking, investment banking, investment advisory, investment funds, broker dealers and insurance services. He is an expert in application and adoption of IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP and Canadian GAAP and is a subject matter expert in financial instruments and derivatives.

Emmanuel is a CPA & CA-Canada, CPA-US, Fellow of Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA,UK). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana.

Advisory Board

H.E. ABDULLAH GHOBASH - Board Member

H.E. Ghobash serves on our advisory board providing overarching leadership counsel as well as in advising on government current and future strategies and transitioning private sector solutions for further adoption by government agencies. His extensive experience both in government roles and private corporates endows him with the rich blend of acumen and expertise to guide RMC* in navigating advisory engagements with impact on government regulatory and macro-economic dimensions.

In addition to his Board role with RMC*, H.E. Ghobash, was until recently the Director General of the Financial Audit Authority of Dubai and currently and previously served on several Boards in the region including the Boards of DIFC, DP World, Etisalat, Borse Dubai, Nasdaq Dubai, Noor Bank, UAE Banking Association and Emaar. He has also served as a Minister of State of the UAE and was a distinguished member of the panel of the Dubai Expo bid delegation team.

He has over 30 years of experience in the international finance and banking industry and in government and political affairs. He holds a Leadership certificate in Business Administration and Management from IMD Business School, an Executive Management degree from Wharton Business School, a banking diploma from Citibank NA in Athens, Greece and also holds a bachelor’s degree from UAE University.

PROF/DR. NOEL TAGOE - Board Member

Prof Noel, serves on our executive advisory board providing specialized top-notch advisory services across the following key business areas including, Finance Transformation, Business Valuation, M & A Advisory, Balance Sheet Restructuring, Future of Finance, Competency Frameworks, Learning Delivery Platforms as well as Digital Technology, Strategies and Transformation.

In addition to his Board advisory role at RMC*, he is a Professor of Practice at University of Nottingham and was also previously, Executive Vice President, Research & Curricula at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Noel advises our clients on technology, finance talent strategy; and organizational and finance transformation and has previously been senior advisor to leading global companies and also several Governments and government agencies. He has held accounting and strategy positions at BP and Elf Aquitaine (now Total Oil) and led the financial advisory services unit of KPMG.

Prof. Noel has taught at leading business schools such as the University of Nottingham, Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (University College Dublin), Manchester Business School (University of Manchester) and Said Business School (University of Oxford). He is a much sought-after conference speaker and executive trainer and has facilitated training programs in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Prof. Noel had his undergraduate education at the University of Ghana and his postgraduate education at the University of Dundee and Oxford University.
